To become a member of Brasileirinhos-dk, simply fill out a form with the children’s and parents’ information and pay an annual maintenance fee. Members have access to:
- Four major annual events: Carnival, São João Festival, Children’s Day, and Christmas.
- A variety of biweekly cultural activities for all ages.
- A library with nearly 300 children’s books in Portuguese.
- A warm and welcoming community for sharing experiences, networking, and integration.
- Various volunteer opportunities according to your availability and interests.
- Cultural learning and social interaction in Portuguese for your children.

How much does membership cost?
To become a member, an annual maintenance fee is charged according to the number of children enrolled:
1 child – 365 kr
2 children – 665 kr
3 children – 945 kr
In addition to the enrolled child(ren), membership includes 2 parents or guardians and siblings under 2 years old.
Can Danish spouses participate?
Yes, as long as they are registered as one of the parents or guardians of the enrolled child(ren). However, all of our activities are conducted in Portuguese.
Can children under 2 years old participate?
Our activities are open to all ages, and children under 2 years old are also welcome. If they are siblings of already enrolled children, they are exempt from payment.
Where and how often do the events and activities take place?
We hold a variety of regular activities every two weeks, as well as four major annual events: Carnival, São João Festival, Children’s Day, and Christmas.
Our activities are mainly concentrated in the Copenhagen area, but locations may vary. Exact location details are always shared via WhatsApp with those who register to participate in each activity.
How can I participate in events and regular activities?

To become a member, simply fill out the signup form available on the website and pay the annual maintenance fee.
Members are added to a WhatsApp group where invitations to all association activities, including registration links, are shared up to one week in advance.
How can I reserve a book from the library?
We do not offer book reservations. To borrow a book, simply visit the library during opening hours at the address shared in the members’ WhatsApp group.
The library opens one Saturday per month, from 9:30 to 11:30. Dates are confirmed monthly in advance through our communication channels.
Does the association offer Portuguese classes?
No. The association offers activities and events conducted in Portuguese to encourage children’s use of the language and social interaction in Portuguese.
If you are interested, we can recommend Portuguese courses coordinated independently by volunteer parents. These courses require separate payment and are open to everyone (membership is not required).
